My musical output is influenced by many musical styles. Film soundtracks by those such as Danny Elfman, John Williams, Bernard Herrmann and Erich Wolfgang Korngold, Late-romantic era classical composers such as Gustav Mahler and Sergei Prokofiev, as well as more modern genres such as Electro and Progressive Rock.
Drawn to music from an early age I used to enjoy experimenting on my mothers piano. Musical composition later developed into a passion whilst at school, and after I had completed school, I then went on to study a 2 year diploma in Music Technology. I learned about production and studio techniques, however composing was still my main focus of interest, and after completing the course I then began my degree in Musical Composition at Kingston University in London.
While at university I fell in love with late romantic composers. I attended talks by film composers and found them inspirational. My lecturers encouraged me to try modernist techniques but I generally did not find them pleasing. I instead focussed on my Orchestration and Development.
My goal in life is to write professionally for tv, film, video games or any other media that can support music, and this is why I have come to Vancouver, the Hollywood North of the North American continent. If you like what you've heard here, let me know!
